McCain Misstates Border Problem - Or Does He? Aliens Crossing Indian Land Aren't Illegal? The problem is that, according to the most recent data, there were 212,201 apprehensions in the Tucson Sector in 2010, not 91,000. And, using McCain's 3 to 1 ratio, the number of illegal aliens that crossed through the Tucson Sector is 636,603, not 200,000. Why are John McCain's numbers so far off? Does he think that people who enter the U.S. through the Indian reservation are not illegal aliens?
