TX: Sanctuary cities bill SB9 appears to be dead...Controversial legislation prohibiting "sanctuary city" policies in Texas appeared dead Monday after a House committee refused to report the measure out and Senate conferees on a separate fiscal matters bill refused to let it be included as an amendment. As the special session headed toward its last day on Wednesday, there was no other avenue for the sanctuary cities measure to get legislative approval despite the fact that it was a priority for Gov. Rick Perry and legislative leaders.

Blatant, in-your-face corruption and Nazi tactics in MARYLAND occurring NOW
The DREAM Act, granting in-state tuition and other special privileges to illegal aliens was defeated in Congress last year, but MD, a sanctuary state, was able to pass its own version (SB 167) in April. This was managed by intense lobbying from the far leftwing illegal [alien] advocate organization, CASA de Maryland -- which receives millions from the state -- and a blizzard of legislative contortions..Almost from the beginning, CASA activists and others have harassed petitioners wherever they set up. Here is a partial list of their tactics:

Sen. Durbin chairs hearing on DREAM Act immigration measure TOMORROW...Durbin (D-Ill.) is trying again to get the DREAM Act passed and will chair the first-ever Senate hearing Tuesday on the immigration measure to give students in the U.S. illegally a chance to stay. As a run-up to the DREAM Act hearing in Washington, Education Secretary Arne Duncan and Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel hold a telephone press conference Monday to promote the legislation. Rep. Luis Gutierrez (D-Ill.) has been traveling across the nation to build support for the legislation. While White House Chief of Staff, Emanuel was seen as declining to push Obama to make DREAM Act passage a priority.

NY Can't Opt Out of Fingerprint Sharing With Feds (Secure Communities Program)...[what difference does it make? Thanks to Obama/Napolitano/John Morton's recent memo to ICE....they won't be deporting anyone! Secure Communities Program has now become nothing more than a "Dog & Pony Show for Obama and his regime.] Fingerprints taken at the local level will continue to be shared with the DHS as part of a controversial federal immigration program despite Governor Andrew Cuomo's calls to end the practice, according to federal agencies.

Alabama: Birmingham City Council to vote on condemning Alabama's new illegal immigration law HB56
Alabama: Birmingham City Council to vote on condemning Alabama's new illegal immigration law HB56...to vote on a resolution condemning Alabama's new illegal immigration law as inhumane and against American principles... 'Not everyone agrees'...the law would protect jobs for American citizens and help remedy a growing problem of illegal aliens in the state. [Alabama has an estimated 120,000 illegal aliens, a nearly fivefold increase from a decade ago, according to the Pew Hispanic Center. Many are thought to be working on farms, at chicken processing plants and in construction]

ICE agents warn Americans 'to brace themselves for what's coming'....This is just one of many new ICE policies in queue aimed at stopping the enforcement of U.S. immigration laws in the U.S.. Unable to pass its immigration agenda through legislation, the Administration is now implementing it through agency policy.”
[Obama is tying ICE Agents' hands from enforcing the laws and deportations of illegals...also using backdoor tactics in granting Dream Act to illegals...every possible excuse listed in Morton's DHS letter to ICE....ICE Agents Union has asked us to contact our Senators and Congressmen to demand that our laws are enforced and to allow ICE Agents to do their jobs...WHAT BETTER WAY TO SECURE OBAMA'S RE-ELECTION IN 2012????]

Now illegal aliens who file civil rights suits are also safe from deportation
Last week, the Obama administration issued the infamous memo announcing several classifications of illegal aliens who will no longer be deported, among them are illegal aliens who have pending civil rights lawsuits. -- The memo states: "To avoid deterring individuals from reporting crimes and from pursuing actions to protect their civil rights, ICE officers, special agents and attorneys are reminded to exercise all appropriate discretion on a case-by-case basis when making detention and enforcement decisions in the cases of victims of crimes, witnesses to crime and individuals pursuing legitimate civil rights complaints.”

Where the tunnels are: Nogales, not Douglas...Glenn Spencer, president of American Border Patrol, a non-governmental border watch group in Hereford, noted the border area near Naco, Arizona, does not provide many opportunities for tunneling from Naco, Sonora. -- "There are not a lot of private residences and private buildings in Naco where a tunnel could exit," he said. -- "But, there is no need to dig a tunnel under Naco if they can bring drugs through the San Pedro Riparian Area

GA: 'People are trembling' over state's new immigration law HB87... [This PROVES attrition through enforcement works!] A lot of them are going back to Mexico...business at the bus station has picked up in the past two months as illegal aliens leave town for other states or their homes in Mexico. When asked why, Regina says "the ley," the law on the minds of most in the local Latino community.
Outside the bus station, 18-year-old Armando Ramirez tells a story of a friend who, in fear and anticipation of GA's new immigration policy, recently sold his car for enough money to move to Washington. His friend chose the Pacific Northwest, because it isn't close to the border, it's "more peaceful" and much easier to get a driver's license. (LOOK OUT WASHINGTON STATE!)

Top business leaders try to derail Texas ‘sanctuary cities’ bill (SB29)
Top business leaders try to derail Texas ‘sanctuary cities’ bill (SB29)...Two of Texas’ most powerful business leaders have mounted a late-hour push to derail an anti-illegal-immigration bill in the Legislature’s special session. Houston homebuilder Bob Perry and HEB/Central Market grocery chieftain Charles Butt applied pressure Thursday to members of a House panel to block the “sanctuary cities” measure that would let police officers ask anyone they stop about their residency status.. The Senate-passed bill faces a crucial hearing Monday before the House State Affairs Committee. The special session must end by Wednesday night.

GA: Illegal alien teens push for amnesty..."The [illegal alien] student movement is, perhaps, the most impressive contemporary social movement in the U.S.," said University of Washington professor Roberto Gonzales, who studies [illegal alien] youth's transition to adulthood. "Largely, through their own efforts, students have led coordinated national efforts to fight deportations and pressure elected officials to pay attention to them"...Nationwide, students — both legal and illegal — have launched a youth movement to persuade the federal government to change its immigration policies and help children who were brought to the U.S. illegally. The students have initiated letter-writing campaigns and lobbied for support through Internet blogs and social media. A rally is planned at the Georgia State Capitol on Tuesday.

Tucson, AZ: Border Patrol cameras helping agents catch smugglers
With the scorching summer heat, more smugglers may be looking to move people and drugs at night. But Border Patrol agents are combating their efforts with high-powered technology. A camera, far above an ever-changing border, is changing the way the Border Patrol does its job. It's a mobile surveillance system with quite a few bells and whistles (see video gallery)

Mexican Invaders Cool to Perry....Placation doesn't work -- How about confrontation?
San Antonio, TX: Mexican Invaders Cool to Perry....Placation doesn't work -- How about confrontation? The applause lines often fell flat and the clamoring of silverware hardly yielded as Gov. Rick Perry spoke to hundreds of Hispanic leaders on Thursday...These Latinos oppose any attempt to control illegal immigration because they want to take over Texas and the Southwest. Will the Republicans find a candidate who will stand up against this frontal assault on our sovereignty - or will they chose another jerk who will just roll over?

Alabama Sheriffs' Association, Dept. of Justice to meet concerning immigration law... The new immigration law requires law enforcement agencies to detain anyone who cannot prove they are in the country legally during a lawful stop, detention or arrest. They're also required to the legal status of those arrested for crimes requiring bail. The Alabama Sheriffs' Association wants clarification about how long those suspected of being in the country illegally should be held. "If they don't come and get him, how long do we hold him or what," said Robert Timmons, executive director of the Alabama Sheriffs' Association. "Those are questions we need to know and we need to find out about it."

Federal Judge Blocks parts of Indiana's New Immigration Law
Federal Judge Blocks parts of Indiana's New Immigration Law...U.S. District Judge Sarah Evans Barker on Friday granted a request for an injunction blocking provisions of the law. The American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) of Indiana and the National Immigration Law Center sued the state in May, contending the law gives police sweeping arrest powers against illegal aliens who haven't committed crimes. The state attorney general's office argued such fears were exaggerated, but Barker previously said she was concerned about how police officers would enforce the new law. Indiana's new law also includes a provision making it illegal for illegal aliens to use ID cards (fake Matricula I.D. cards given to illegals) issued by foreign consulates as proof of identification. The ACLU said that measure would interfere with foreign treaties allowing the cards.

Morons (State Election Board) give MD voters signatures to CASA de Maryland to copy...Delegate Parrott stated a new problem he was having with the State Election Board wanting to allow the illegal alien support group, CASA de Maryland, (CASA) to take possession of the 67,000 petition signatures so they could be copied at a local copy center. Neil said that he was told our side would not be able to have anyone present while CASA was making its copies of our petitions..The State of Maryland Election Board is going to give the original and only copy of the 67,000 petition signatures to the political opposition of the group that collected the signatures, for the political opposition to take out of the election board office and have in their personal unsupervised possession to take to a local business to copy them.
..Whomever takes possession of the copies of the names, addresses and birth dates of those who signed the petitions needs to make sure that every effort is made to assure the information on those signing the petitions is used only for legitimate referendum or opposition purposes...
