Sacramento, CA: Computer errors let violent California prisoners go free..A computer system that lacked key information about inmates factored in the release of an estimated 450 prisoners with a "high risk of violence," as unsupervised parolees in a program meant to ease overcrowding, The revelations come two days after the U.S. Supreme Court ruled that CA's prisons are dangerously overcrowded and upheld an earlier order that state officials must find a way to reduce the 143,335-inmate population by roughly 33,000. More than 1,000 additional prisoners presenting a high risk of committing drug crimes, property crimes and other offenses were also let out. No attempt was made to return any of the offenders to state lockups or place them on supervised parole

Sacramento, CA: 4/4/11 Rally and Press Conference on Arizona-Style Law to be held at the State Capitol
Sacramento, CA: 4/4/11 Rally and Press Conference on Arizona-Style Law to be held at the State Capitol..Assembly Bill 26 would help law enforcement manage illegal immigration in the State and fulfills Assemblyman Donnelly's campaign pledge to introduce a bill similar to the Arizona immigration law, in California.
This measure would, among other things, end sanctuary cities and enforce immigration laws against employers who knowingly hire illegal aliens, which will free up jobs for citizens and eliminate incentives for people to come here illegally. Additionally, this measure will make illegal presence in California punishable by a misdemeanor, and increase the penalty for criminals that traffic illegal immigrants into California for the purposes of sexual slavery to life in prison.
