Wisconsin court upholds anti-union legislation...State workers to lose most bargaining rights after state's supreme court reinstates Republican legislation..Wisconsin's highest court has ruled that a controversial measure curbing the collective bargaining rights of public workers in the state can take effect...The supreme court on Tuesday overturned a lower court ruling that Republican legislators violated the state's open meetings law when they passed the measure in March...The measure continues to roil state politics. Six of the Republican senators who supported the law, and three of the Democratic senators who opposed it, will face special recall elections in July in what may be the largest wave of such special elections in US history.

Wisconsin: Her Royal Liberal Highness Judge Sumi Strikes Down WI Union Bill Again...ruled that Republican legislators violated WI’s open meetings law during the run up to passage. She says that renders the law void. The law pushed by Gov. Scott Walker takes away all bargaining rights except over base salary for teachers and other public workers. The decision is not the end of the legal fight. The state Supreme Court has scheduled arguments for June 6 to determine whether it will take the same case. Lawmakers could also pass the law again in order to nullify open meeting concerns that led to the judge’s ruling Thursday.
