NY Can't Opt Out of Fingerprint Sharing With Feds (Secure Communities Program)...

NY Can't Opt Out of Fingerprint Sharing With Feds (Secure Communities Program)...[what difference does it make? Thanks to Obama/Napolitano/John Morton's recent memo to ICE....they won't be deporting anyone! Secure Communities Program has now become nothing more than a "Dog & Pony Show for Obama and his regime.] Fingerprints taken at the local level will continue to be shared with the DHS as part of a controversial federal immigration program despite Governor Andrew Cuomo's calls to end the practice, according to federal agencies.

Now illegal aliens who file civil rights suits are also safe from deportation

Now illegal aliens who file civil rights suits are also safe from deportation
Last week, the Obama administration issued the infamous memo announcing several classifications of illegal aliens who will no longer be deported, among them are illegal aliens who have pending civil rights lawsuits. -- The memo states: "To avoid deterring individuals from reporting crimes and from pursuing actions to protect their civil rights, ICE officers, special agents and attorneys are reminded to exercise all appropriate discretion on a case-by-case basis when making detention and enforcement decisions in the cases of victims of crimes, witnesses to crime and individuals pursuing legitimate civil rights complaints.”

GA: Illegal alien teens push for amnesty

GA: Illegal alien teens push for amnesty..."The [illegal alien] student movement is, perhaps, the most impressive contemporary social movement in the U.S.," said University of Washington professor Roberto Gonzales, who studies [illegal alien] youth's transition to adulthood. "Largely, through their own efforts, students have led coordinated national efforts to fight deportations and pressure elected officials to pay attention to them"...Nationwide, students — both legal and illegal — have launched a youth movement to persuade the federal government to change its immigration policies and help children who were brought to the U.S. illegally. The students have initiated letter-writing campaigns and lobbied for support through Internet blogs and social media. A rally is planned at the Georgia State Capitol on Tuesday.

House Republicans are targeting an Obama administration effort to give immigration officials more leeway when it comes to deciding who to deport

House Republicans are targeting an Obama administration effort to give immigration officials more leeway when it comes to deciding who to deport from the U.S....Lamar Smith (R-Texas), chairman of the House Judiciary Committee introduces the HALT Act, would strip the Obama administration's power to defer deportation of immigration violators, grant work authorization or grant temporary protected status to immigrants who are fleeing a disaster... The bill has little chance of becoming law. Even if the bill passed the House, it probably would not pass the Democratic-controlled Senate.

TX: SB9 advances (Secure Communities Program)

TX: SB9 advances (Secure Communities Program)...Sen. Tommy Williams(R) said by expanding Secure Communities to all law enforcement agencies — every Texas county takes part in the program but some municipalities don't — SB9 closes a loophole that keeps some people arrested for Class C misdemeanors from being entered into the Secure Communities database... Secure Communities checks the fingerprints of those arrested against an ICE database. It has been the target of criticism from some who say the program, designed to deport violent criminals, has led to the deportation of people convicted of minor crimes.

NC: 24 Illegal Alien Members of Raleigh Church Face Deportation After Traffic Stop

NC: 24 Illegal Alien Members of Raleigh Church Face Deportation After Traffic Stop... More than two dozen members of a Raleigh church are facing deportation after a traffic stop in Louisiana based on what their supporters say was illegal racial profiling rather than reasonable suspicion...The church members and their supporters contend they were pulled over simply because they're Latino, and that after being detained they were subjected to ridicule by federal agents. The group also says its members were denied their legal rights to make phone calls or contact lawyers during detention...The incident occurred early in the morning of April 15, 2010, when three vans and several private vehicles from Buen Pastor were returning to North Carolina from a religious ceremony in Houston. Buen Pastor, an Evangelical Protestant church, regards the "Santa Cena," or holy supper, as the most important religious event of the year.
