The Decline and Fall of California..The "Illegal Immigration State" is finished -- no recovery...California Governor Vetoes Budget...."California is in a fiscal mess," Mr. Brown said. "The political class is deeply divided."(REALLY?) "If we can't find a way to get around that, then we will irreversibly enter on a pathway of decline."

California...a "Sanctuary State"??? CA Senate committee approves TRUST Act in face of rising Secure Communities concerns
California...a "Sanctuary State"??? CA Senate committee approves TRUST Act in face of rising Secure Communities concerns (CA. Gov. Jerry Brown is a supporter of Secure Communities, and as state attorney general ratified the agreement with the federal government..WILL HE VETO???)The CA Senate Public Safety Committee approved Assemblymember Tom Ammiano’s TRUST Act, (AB 1081) today in a 5-2 vote, in face of rising concerns about a troubled federal fingerprinting and deportation program known as Secure Communities (S-Comm)...CA has deported the most illegal aliens under S-Comm. As of April 2011, CA had deported 41,833 individuals since it began phasing in its participation in S-Comm in May 2009 (sounds like a low figure to me?)

Losing California, and America? Jerry Brown has a choice...mandate Security Communities Program for ALL of CA
Losing California, and America? Jerry Brown has a choice...mandate Security Communities Program for ALL of CA...the open-borders Los Angeles Times is suggesting that Gov. Jerry Brown could refuse to cooperate with the Secure Communities program. We are facing the greatest threat to our union since the Civil War. If Brown refuses to cooperate with ICE, we will have taken another step toward the disillusionment of the United States of America.

CA: Dream Act bill AB131 could provide public funds for college to Illegal Aliens
CA: Dream Act bill AB131 could provide public funds for college to Illegal Aliens.... would let illegals apply for and receive state grants, university scholarships and fee waivers – the same aid offered to legal residents.. Because 12 of the 17 committee members are Democrats, proponents say they're confident the bill will pass and move to the full Assembly for a vote. It would then have to pass a Senate vote. Both bodies are Democratic-controlled. Gov. Jerry Brown said earlier he would sign the Dream Act if it comes to his desk

California Assembly passes 'card check' for agricultural workers
CA Assembly passes 'card check' for agricultural workers..measure, SB104, cleared the Assembly by a vote of 51-26 with Republicans opposed. It now goes to Democratic Gov. Jerry Brown, who has not yet announced whether he will sign it...the bill would let farmworkers bargain collectively if a majority of employees submit petition cards to the Agricultural Labor Relations Board...the bill was sponsored by the United Farm Workers. If Gov. Brown should sign the bill into law, then workers would be stripped of their right to have secret-ballot elections which have helped shield individual workers from the sort of intimidation and reprisals that have been eagerly embraced by aggressive union organizers

CA: Latino support for Jerry Brown hinges on key bills
CA: Latino support for Jerry Brown hinges on key bills...Not sure where Brown will come down on the political issues; among them a bill to extend labor protections for domestic workers and Secure Communities - another bill to let local governments opt out of a controversial federal program that automatically checks the immigration status of anyone booked into a local jail.

California Collapse Imminent? L.A. furloughs thousands as Brown tax faces voters
California Collapse Imminent? L.A. furloughs thousands as Brown tax faces voters...Looking at a $457-million shortfall, the mayor of Los Angeles said he would begin furloughing more than 6,000 city employees who refused to go along with a cost-cutting arrangement. At the state level, voters may well reject Gov. Brown's plan to raise taxes – forcing the state to issue IOUs to vendors within a couple of months..When people come into any country or new area and have little skill and/ or education, then of course the society will be impacted negatively."

CA: Cutting off services to illegal aliens easier said than done
CA: Cutting off services to illegal aliens easier said than done...While Gov. Jerry Brown and lawmakers wrestle with the budget crisis, Californians are adamant that much of the problem can be laid at the feet of people who are in the country illegally. Their message is: Stop teaching the kids, cut off welfare checks and ship the prisoners back home..That way, billions of dollars spent on services could be put to work cutting the deficit, paying for vital programs and keeping tax increases at bay (LOOKS LIKE CALIFORNIANS ARE STARTING TO SPEAK UP...NOW GET OUT AND VOTE)

CA Gov. Brown: Country Facing ‘Regime Crisis’ Similar To The Civil War
CA Gov. Brown: Country Facing ‘Regime Crisis’ Similar To The Civil War...“If we don’t get taxes, if we don’t get cuts, we’re gonna have a hard time balancing the budget,” Brown said. “Many of the Republicans told me, ‘We’re not taxing and we’re not cutting. It’s your job — you’re the governor.’”..Brown is not showing he’s much of a leader. (ANOTHER SHOCKER FOR THE DAY!)

California is going down hard - Delaying the Inevitable
California is going down hard - Delaying the Inevitable. California Gov. Jerry Brown's latest move to save the state from fiscal collapse was to steal nearly $1 billion from children's programs..California is a fiscal train wreck and there is nothing Jerry Brown, or Barack Obama, can do to stop it.

CA: Gov. Brown Cuts Education … But Not for ILLEGALS
CA: Gov. Brown Cuts Education … But Not for ILLEGALS...Gov. Jerry Brown has signed 13 bills that make $11.2 billion in cuts and shifts in state spending, including slashing $500 million each from the University of California and California State University systems. At the same time, he supports the so-called “California Dream Act” that would provide illegal aliens with student financial aid that costs more than $40 million per year.

CA. Gov. Brown signs off on billions worth of state cuts
CA. Gov. Brown signs off on billions worth of state cuts...still have to find more than $12 billion in cuts or revenues to close the state's budget gap. "We are only halfway to the goal line," he said after signing the bills, which Democrats say are worth about $10.8 billion in cuts and Republicans argue are closer to $7 billion in spending reductions.

Internet sales giant Overstock.com to cut ties with California
California's evolving budget crisis continues to meet headwinds with major Internet companies who are lining up to flee the state if Democratic Governor Jerry Brown signs new tax increase legislation into law. -- Overstock.com will join Amazon.com in pulling all affiliate sellers from the state if lawmakers insist on additional taxes.
