Utah, HB 116, Governor Herbert, Mormon Church and of course, THE CHAMBER OF COMMERCE
The Salt Lake Chamber of Commerce has effectively used the Utah Legislature as its personal pawn and unwitting publicist. The Utah Legislature will, at the end of the day, be the laughing stock of the United States, using its precious time in session and taxpayer resources to pass a bill that even the strongest advocates admit is preempted by current law and is nothing more than a "message bill". Utahans and particularly Salt Lake Chamber members have a right to be angry at this obvious manipulation of the political process by the Chamber. Governor Herbert should consider calling the legislature back into special session to return credibility to the Utah legislature.
