Mitch Daniels signs SB590 Immigration Bill into law... says proposal "simply upholds the law" The proposal threatens the state tax credits of employers who knowingly hire illegal aliens, revokes state contracts with those companies, and denies unemployment benefits to illegal aliens. It also ramps up penalties for crimes associated with illegal immigration, including fake ID's and the smuggling or harboring of illegals.. also signed a second bill targeted by protesters, denying in-state college tuition to illegal aliens.
