Phoenix, AZ: MCSO Human Smuggling Unit Arrests 20 Illegal Aliens.. The Maricopa County Sheriff's Office Human Smuggling Unit arrested 20 more illegal aliens during an investigation in the north valley. the suspects agreed to pay between $1,400 and $2,500 for entry into the U.S. and their destinations to be were in Las Vegas and California. They were booked into the Fourth Avenue Jail on felony human smuggling charges.
