Michigan: Hamtramck NAACP to host forum on state immigration bill HB4305...which is pending in the Legislature, would give law enforcement officers the right, with reasonable suspicion, to request proof of immigration status from people stopped or detained for other offenses, including traffic violations...Police also would have the power to arrest someone -- with or without a warrant -- if they have probable cause to believe the person committed an offense that makes him or her deportable
