NC: ALIPAC Plans Removal of NC Senator Phil Berger & Others - they gutted NC HB36 E-Verify... is calling for the resignation of or removal from office of NC Senators Phil Berger, Tom Apodaca, Bob Rucho, and Harry Brown for their role in gutting HB36 behind closed doors in order to protect hundreds of thousands of illegal alien workers in North Carolina. These senators conspired to radically alter HB36 which passed the House with a large margin and bipartisan support. HB36 would have provided immediate relief for unemployed NC workers by blocking big businesses from hiring illegal aliens. All state employers doing business with the state and all employers with 25 or more employees would be required to use the E-verify system, which is free, accurate, and effective, preventing illegal aliens from being hired.
