AZ: Nogales McDonald's workers get English classes

AZ: Nogales McDonald's workers get English classes...Last week's class was the start of the first of three courses that will be offered to the students. Each received a laptop and can participate in "virtual classrooms" from their homes and beyond. They can then practice on an "E-Learning" website and while carrying out their day-to-day responsibilities at work...Under the deal with Wallace, McDonald's will provide a curriculum and classroom space for English learners and other adult students. This "in-kind" donation will serve as a match for the county to pick up $34,542 in federal funds for adult education and $140,174 for English acquisition.
