IRCOT attorney: ‘MALDEF lies,’ challenge to Texas DREAM Act precursor still very much alive... IRCOT attorney David Rogers said a hearing took place as recently as Monday and a trial, while likely to be delayed, was set to begin on June 15. The civil rights group, he said, is composed of “race hustlers,” who do not employ “real lawyers.” “MALDEF has been spreading misleading and false information of the lawsuit’s status. We’ve gotten tired of them and have excluded them from the lawsuit. They are not a proper plaintiff or defendant and have no business in the lawsuit at all.
