Oregon Senate passes SB742 to lower tuition for illegal alien students
The Senate today approved a bill to lower tuition at the state's public universities for students who were brought to Oregon illegally. The 18-11 vote on Senate Bill 742 came after an impassioned half-hour discussion dominated almost entirely by supporters. The bill heads next to the House, where it may face more opposition.
